Early pricing for the first twenty companies

Get the people who left off your cap table.

Countersign clears departed co-founders, paper grants, idle advisors and unwanted angels off your cap table — documents, payment, signatures and ledger — in under a week, for a flat fee.

The co-founder who stopped showing up in month five. The first engineer with a paper grant and no vesting. The advisor who advised twice. The angel your next lead would rather not meet.

Partners

The platforms your cap table already lives on.

Each is a negotiated relationship, not a switch we can flip — so each one says where it actually stands. None is a prerequisite: a cleanup runs from a CSV export on day one.

Four steps, in order, every time.

Nothing moves forward until the step before it is actually done. When your lead's lawyer asks how this was handled, you send the log instead of telling the story.

01 · What they hold

Pull the grant, the vesting math, the 83(b), the side letter someone emailed in 2023. We tell you what's actually on the table before you open the conversation.

02 · The paper

Buyback, forfeiture, advisor termination, SAFE assignment — the bundle is chosen by the situation, filled from your cap table, and signed in the browser.

03 · The money

Pay from your own account, however you like. We watch for the reference and the amount, and wait for both sides to confirm. We never hold a dollar.

04 · The record

Board consent collected, ledger updated, everything time-stamped in one export you can drop straight into the data room.

Pick your situation

Not every one of these costs you money.

Half of these need no payment and no negotiation — just the right document and a board consent. Pick one to see what it takes.

What it takes

Board consent + payment

  • What they actually ownFirst

Grant, vesting schedule as of their last day, 83(b), and any handshake in an old email thread.

  • Unvested shares forfeitedAuto

Repurchased at cost under the restricted stock agreement — usually the cheap part.

  • Buyback + release of claimsSign

The release is the point. Without it you have paid for shares and kept the dispute.

  • Price paid and confirmedMoney

Your bank, your transfer, our reference number. Both sides confirm before anything advances.

  • Board consent and ledgerClose

Written consent collected, cap table updated, everything time-stamped.

Funds & angels · by request

Sometimes it's the founder who has to come off.

A co-founder departure you're managing from the board seat, a recap, a stalled company where the paper never got done. Same machinery, run from your side, with your counsel's forms.

Portfolio dashboards, cleanup history across your companies, and structured cap-table records are part of the fund program. Priced separately, never shown to the companies.

Fund program · we'll call you

Fund pricing, portfolio access and data terms are handled on the call. Nothing about your companies is shared with anyone else.

For founders, angels & syndicate leads

Every integration, and exactly how far it goes.

Positions from AngelList, Carta and Sydecar; money matched from Mercury, Brex or Plaid; signatures, filings and sanctions screening in the same log. A spreadsheet works on day one — every integration is an accelerant, never a prerequisite.

Cap tables & SPVs

Where your angels' positions actually live. Ledger works standalone from CSV; each of these is an accelerant, never a prerequisite.

What we don't do.

Being narrow is the point. Everything outside this belongs to you, your lawyer, or your bank.

We don't hold your money

Payment goes bank to bank. We match the reference and record that it cleared.

We don't find buyers

No listings, no marketplace. Usually the company is the buyer, and you already know the other side.

We don't set the price

You use your last 409A or whatever you and the board agree. We record it, we don't opine.

We're not your lawyer

Standard forms your counsel can review once and reuse. Bring your own if you'd rather.

Flat fee. Cheaper than the email chain.

For reference, the same cleanup at a startup firm runs $4k–$12k and three weeks of your attention.

No money changes hands

$350

Unvested forfeiture, advisor wind-down, an expired grant nobody cancelled. Document, consent, ledger.

Questions founders ask first.

Do I still need a lawyer?+

For standard cases, no: the forms are standard and your counsel can review them once and reuse them. If your situation needs a lawyer, we'll tell you that up front rather than sell you a cleanup.

What if the person won't respond?+

“Nobody can reach them” is one of the six situations. We run the notice steps your documents require and record every attempt, so the file shows you did it properly.

Does this work if we're on Carta or AngelList?+

Yes. Start from a CSV export today; direct connections are in build. The ledger never depends on a platform, so a partner program never blocks your cleanup.

Who touches the money?+

Nobody but you. Payment goes from your bank to theirs; we match the reference and amount and wait for both sides to confirm.

Start with the one that's been bothering you.

Tell us who's on the cap table who shouldn't be. We'll come back with what it takes to remove them and what it costs. If the answer is “call your lawyer,” we'll say that too.

You'll get a real answer from a person within a day, not a scheduling link.
